Vortex flowmeter is a volumetric flowmeter that measures the volumetric flow rate, standard volumetric flow rate, or mass flow rate of gas, steam, or liquid, based on the Karman vortex street principle. It is primarily used for flow measurement of medium fluids in industrial pipelines, such as various media including gas, liquid, and steam.
Its characteristics include low pressure loss, wide measurement range, high accuracy, and almost no influence from parameters such as fluid density, pressure, temperature, and viscosity when measuring volumetric flow under operating conditions. With no moving mechanical parts, it has high reliability and requires minimal maintenance. The instrument parameters remain stable over a long period of time. The vortex flowmeter adopts a piezoelectric stress sensor, which is highly reliable and can operate within an operating temperature range of -20℃ to +250℃. It has both analog standard signal and digital pulse signal outputs, making it easy to use with digital systems such as computers. It is a relatively advanced and ideal measuring instrument.
